...as the long as the sun still shines

"The single greatest lesson the garden teaches is that our relationship to the planet need not be zero-sum, and that as long as the sun still shines and people still can plan and plant, think and do, we can, if we bother to try, find ways to provide for ourselves without diminishing the world."

— Michael Pollan

How can we provide for ourselves without diminishing the world? As it becomes clearer that anthropogenic climate change is going to drastically alter our future the time to think about our footprint is now. Organic gardening and all the fabulous things that go along with it - composting, mulching, recycling nutrients and of course eating - are genuinely heartfelt, tangible and resilient forms of providing for ourselves and our communities.

This is the service I want to offer - guidance and inspiration to go down the path of organic gardening, composting advice and support and ongoing garden maintenance. There is such richness is connecting with the land, whether a pot on a patio or a half acre section. If I can, I will give the tools to tap into that richness, to observe the daily miracle that is Papatuanuku. Welcome to Sunshine in a Bottle Gardens.
